After the previous week’s label of collaborative Nike apparel, Supreme has patched up with Vans — another partner that has a notable number of collaborations with the streetwear label— for new takes on the Half Cab Pro and Old Skool Pro. Launching in cream, blue and black colorways, each sneaker gives a branded spin on a classic skate sneaker.
Steve Caballero‘s Half Cab provides a 5/8 cut and an upper body made of canvas and suede, while the Old Skool gives the same material mix with a lower, calmer profile. Each rocks a checkerboard-like Supreme text graphic in repetitive horizontal and vertical lines — on the Half Cab, this embellishment appears on toe boxes, quarters, and collars, on the Old Skool it’s downgraded to the quarters. Half Cabs offer branding via black fabric tags on quarters and tongues, Old Skools with a prosaic white Jazz Stripe. Each pair is then finalized by a black collar, black rubber midsole, and classic gum rubber waffle outsole.
The Supreme x Vans Half Cab Pro and Old Skool Pro are both geared up to set foot on the Supreme website and at select retail locations on September 10. Supreme’s Japan outposts will get their stock two days later, on September 12. Retail prices have yet to be announced.
