The environmentally conscious clothing company PANGAIA has just collaborated with Takashi Murakami, on a four-piece collection, to celebrate World Bee Day 2020. The four-piece capsule will launch with its Bee the Change Fund, in partnership with Milkywire, which focusses on protecting and preserving vulnerable, and endangered bee species around the globe. Takashi’s signature “smiling flowers” have been featured throughout this capsule, and are now joined by a colourful bee character.
The pieces come in “Cobalt Blue”, “Off White”, “Orchid Purple”, and “Saffron Yellow”, which all compliment the rainbow vibe Murakami’s art gives out. On the rear of the hoodies is a dual branded stamp, whereas on the rear of the tees, we see a small statement about how important bees are, and how they support our ecosystem. The Takashi Murakami x PANGAIA T-shirts will have a retail price tag of $95, and the hoodies will have one for $220. All four styles drop on the 20th of May.
