In 2022, Nike has been operating at full capacity with its cherished Air Max 1. The Tinker Hatfield-created silhouette has worked on numerous joint ventures with artists like Travis Scott and Kasina, and it will now be extending its run with a brand-new collaboration with Patta. A new brown hue of the “The Waves” ensemble from the Dutch label has recently been made public through official photos.
The Swooshes, overlays on the lateral and medial quarters, and the distinctive wavy-shaped mudguards that extend from the toe tips to the rear are all made of luxuriant brown leather. Their lighter grey skins are matched by mesh underlays and the forefoot Swooshes, while metallic silver slivers frame the aforementioned Swooshes. Additionally, the internal liners include a magenta-like purple color, with subtle teal accents on the eyelets and the embroidered Nike Air insignia on the back. The inserts are printed with the Patta name, and co-branded writing appears on the tongues.
These are expected to go on sale for $160 USD in the upcoming months, however no official launch date has been disclosed as of yet.
