Last of the four colorways planned by Chitose Abe, this particular shade accents the signature double stacking mixing elements from the Nike Vaporfly and the classic Pegasus from 1983. The retro meets future themed silhouette arrives in shades of burgundy, green and beige with hits of black and white.
The upper arrives unfinished, a popular concept recently adopted by Nike. Moving forward there is layering as we go down with additions of double midfoot swooshes, double tongues and a duel between the two laces. Branding arrives via the mixed tongue tags, “NIKE/sacai” text on the heel tabs, miniature swoosh on the heels and printed insoles. Lifting up the shoe from its ideal height are the stacked midsoles with an opening at the heel and a rubber waffle outsole.
With a price tag of $180 USD, the pair will be available on Nike SNKRS and select retailers come December 17, 11 p.m. EST.
