The 2012 released Nike Dunk High’s “Black/Varsity Maize”colourway rumoured to return this holiday season
Fan favorite dunks are coming back into the scene and 2020 has been the year of classic dunks. This time around, it’s tipped to be a reissue of 2012’s Black/Varsity Maize Dunk High, a variation of 1985’s OG Iowa — AKA Goldenrod — a sneaker that formed the base of the trail-blazing Wu-Tag collaboration from 1999.
The year 2012 saw the arrival of OG version with blacked out midsoles and tumbled leather finish and now its bound to return in 2021. The upper of the shoe is covered in yellow and black patchings. The forefoot , eyestays and heel counter is covered in bright maize yellow colorway with midpanel and toebox covered in black. The midsole and outsoles are covered in yellow and black respectively.
Unlike the other dunks this pair comes in SP label (Special Release) making it a tough cop and a sky high shot in resale market. But 2020’s taught us that dunks are the new norm and getting a hands on any dunk could cost handsome amount of dollars.
The shoe is speculated to arrive in holiday season or Early 2021 with some delays expected in the drop, with the global pandemic going on right now.
