Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 6 is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2021, so the Jumpman has publicized that the pioneering silhouette will release in its OG “Carmine” colour blocking as part of the festivities. The “Carmine” initially became evocative in 2008 as apart of popular CDP pack alongside a Air Jordan 17 and last dropped in 2014, but this 30th anniversary model differentiates itself from its two nostalgic antecedent itself from in one majorway; first pair since the 1991 original to feature Nike air branding on the heel.
The “Carmine” colourway platters a mishmash of white and red on its upper: the former appears on the collar, heel, midfoot overlays and throat while the latter graces toeboxes, quarters, neoprene throat shrouds and heel tab. Nike Air hit is toned red, with further brand embellishments appearing on the aforementioned throat shroud, lace toggle and tongue. Down below, midsoles combine black and white with a clear heel Air Max unit, icy blue pieces and a large Jumpman on the outsole to complete the look, one that – according to Jordan Brand – is true to original specifications.
Tinker Hatfield groomed Air Jordan classic is slated to return to Nike SNKRS and retailers like Foot Locker on February 13, 2021.
