Jordan brand is no stranger to using Mocha colourway on their sneakers. The last time they used this colour on a sneaker, people went nuts for the sneaker. Yes, we are talking about the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High and this new Mocha colourway clearly takes its inspiration from that pair. We know Travis has a liking for brown colour, most notably through his Jordan collaboration, but also with the Stussy Dunks. This might have had a role to play in the resale prices of the Mocha colourways shooting up, although it does not have any relation with Travis Scott. This colourway has been a treat for sneakerheads in past year. Owing to this future sneaker release, we might not need a Travis Scott Jordan 1 restock anymore.
The Air Jordan 1 High Dark Mocha pack will comprise of two different sneakers. The first one has pretty much the same colour scheme as on the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1, except with leather uppers, not suede. The sneaker is mostly covered in the Mocha colour with the sail colour on the medial panel which compliments the look of the shoe. The other pair from this pack is mostly covered in Sail colour with an accenting Nike swoosh , sock liner and outsole, all dressed up in the Dark Mocha colour.
The pack was expected to release this June, but it will now be releasing in the holiday season. This release schedule might get pushed back even further, due to the global pandemic, and problems with sourcing the materials for the pair, etc. The pair will release via Nike’s website, and select retailers for the usual $170.
