Keeping the spirit of the 1980s with the help of the Los Angeles purple and gold is Nike Dunk High, releasing on 29th April worldwide. Dubbed the Nike Dunk High EMB (or embossed), is the trendiest sneaker of 2021 featuring the brand’s namesake in Laker typeface via an embossed embroidery at the heel. More of that vintage athletics aesthetic is featured on the throwback logos on the tongue, mirroring the visual direction held by the Swoosh during that competitive era of training sportswear.
The upper features purple and gold in leather, while a black canvas/denim twill is displayed on the mid-panel, ankle, and toe-box. The sunburst perforations on the toe also seem to show an embossed effect, although that could just be a by-product of the punctures.
You can expect these Nike Dunks globally on April 29th, dropping alongside the recently reviewed Air Force 1 EMB that is set to replicate the branding style of the Terminator. See the official images as well as the lifestyle photos provided by 43einhalb below.
