The Mamba Week, full of events, all in all, was only one small part of Nike’s plans to commemorate Kobe Bryant‘s life. The launches, which fit into what-if scenarios and older fan favorites, boosted the return of the legend athlete’s signature shoes, and towards the end of this month, it looks like we’re soon to see even further tributes to his legacy by way of the ever-popular Kobe 5 Protro and its upcoming “Heart” iteration.
According to retail sellers like Foot Locker, the offering is giving away no time in launching as its currently set to launch in about a week’s time. It’s upper, whose finish has only recently been portrayed in detail, bears a warped checkerboard, a calm zebra print, and even further M.C. Escher level hue. These patterns are sprawled along with different overlays, mid-panels, and the like, all colored with a monochrome pairing of white and light grey. Soles and their treads dress to match as does the tongue and lace though each through a bit darker shade; elsewhere, the swooshes and the iconic Kobe insignia alters in black, going with that of the lining as well as the patent heel tab.
