The Japanese arm of The North Face is well known for its experimentation and promoting customizations now and then, including the 141 Customs program. The program was launched initially in 2019 and gives the customers of the domestic, Goldwin-owned The North Face a freedom to mix and match pieces of the brand as they please. Apart from the pieces, the program also gives a choice in terms of textile and color as well.
Moving forward in 2021, the brand has expanded their line from the usual Denali, Nuptse and Mountain Jackets to add the Swallow Tail Hoodie, Baltro Light, Climb Light and new choices for the Mountain Jacket. All the items can be rearranged, repainted and reworked as per the customer’s satisfaction without compromising the functionality – including the GORE-TEX, fleece and mesh – expected of the outdoor experts.
