Through a partnership with the Pensole Design Academy, the adidas S.E.E.D. program seeks to change the fashion industry through experiential learning. Dedicated to breaking down barriers faced by young creators, adidas provides the next generation with the opportunity to shine, and become the next Superstar of sneaker design. The program will introduce some new designs in 2022, including this paint-splattered, multi-material S.E.E.D. x adidas Superstar.
The pair certainly does not shy away from creativity, with a multi-color and multi-material scheme that has to be seen to be believed. The pair is held together by a semi-translucent gum sole and shell toe combo, but its whites and contrast purple stitching make it look too simple. Things get interesting from there; uppers in cream work in ribbed and canvas-like weaves, with soft felts in shades of mint, purple, and blue. The rear overlays boast a trendy paisley print, while thick jersey mesh tongues join the liners in vibrant golden yellow. Topped off with a slew of colorful tack stitch overlays and a splash of royal and orange paint on the upper, the sneaker is complete.
