First noticed back in May, the women’s Nike Air Max 97 with sequins has been seen in new photos before of a possible release date.
Even though the sewn-on highlighting isn’t new to the sneaker, its previous models haven’t been indulging in such a tonal color palette. “Black” takes over most of the Christian Tresser-esque upper body, which showcases reflective panels on the tongue. As teased by the latest lifestyle images, the sequins all the through the vamp overlays have a scarlet underside, developing a fan favorite “bred” shade when positioned properly. Swoosh branding across the Air Max sneaker further indulges in the stark contrast, as does the detachable lace jewel and accents on the spine. Underfoot, sole units mostly go for an understated scheme, but full-length Airbags and a swoosh logo on the outsole bring some red flair to the pair’s bottom.
