Ditching the famous and significant characters of The Simpsons like Homer, Bart, Marge and company, adidas has teamed up with the iconic television franchise to design footwear and chose to honor the show’s signature food and beverages. To follow up their recent “Flaming Moe’s” ZX 1000, the pair is all set to create a brand new Forum ‘84 Low collaboration that’s inspired by Duff Beer.
The upcoming shoes are inspired by the tin can design of Homer’s favorite American lager. Down the throat is coated with metallic silver and onto the perforated toe boxes, while bold red accents are projected onto the side panels, toe tip overlays and the straps. Stark black shades touch down on the stripes along and the interior lining and rims of the straps. Tongues replaces their regular adidas branding for an original Duff Beer logo and golden accents ripped from the can are applied to edges of the throat and the heels. In addition the shoes are packaged in lace Duff Beer dubraes to further echo its theme.
The pair is due to release on the 19th of May, 2021 at select retailers like JD Sports and Foot Locker for a retail price of $100 USD.
