12 years of passed but the legacy that Scottie Pippen has left behind will stay forever. Aside from the six championships he helped bring to the Windy City alongside the great Michael Jordan, the former do-it-all NBA legend is also widely praised for his contributions to the Olympic “Dream Team”. The Nike Air More Uptempo were the sneakers he popularised, is already notorious for its actual Olympic-themed offering, but now Beaverton is fashioning the sneaker in a way that solely celebrates Pippen himself.
Embroidered upon its heel is the number “8”, his uniform number when he suited up for the USA. The base uppers, sole units, and pebbled foreground “AIR” lettering all come cowled in stark black, and are accompanied by golden trim — which possibly represent their 1st place gold medals — that borders the oversized side wall branding, as well as natural white Swooshes atop the toe tips, heels, and tread. This silhouette has minimal design makeup.
