Tommy Hilfiger is returning to New York Fashion Week after a three-year vacation. The runway presentation, dubbed “See Now, Buy Now,” is scheduled for Sunday, September 11, and will present the American designer’s Fall 2022 collection.
The event is going to include an interactive experience that is inspired by New York’s creative landscape to elevate the standard fashion show experience. In particular, the presentation will combine a metaverse activation with a live display at Brooklyn’s Skyline Drive-In.
Tommy Hilfiger stated, “My heart immediately went to New York’s iconic creative culture when I thought about where to launch our return to fashion week. This is where fashion, art, music and entertainment was all coming together when I first started out in the industry…This season is all about the collision of my favorite archival inspirations with new live event concepts and virtual worlds. It’s the perfect expression of what we stand for as we pay homage to our roots with a return to NYFW.”
Avatars wearing the outfits from the Fall 2022 collection will also be live streaming the event on Roblox.
