While sacai will switch gears from its work on the Nike LD Waffle for its upcoming VaporWaffle collaboration, the brand will reportedly stick with the Blazer for another rendition in 2021, though this time it’s going for a low-top instead of a high.
On the first pair, the titular shade acquires the majority area such as the suede uppers and the tongues accompanied with the overlays positioned around the shoelaces as well as the Swoosh that sits on the ankle. Being a sacai collaboration it was a no-brainer to add the signature double stacking onto the tongues, laces, and Nike checks in a bold “University Red” hue. Minute accents of white are visible on the tongue and add the necessary pop to the shoe.
For the second pair, Greyscale tones seem to be the focal point. Uppers arrive in a buttery suede material, outfitted in an “Iron Grey” paint job. Overlays sitting adjacent to the laces opt for a similar titular tone accompanied by one of the Swoosh sets that attach onto the medial and lateral sides. The secondary set of Nike checks settles for a simple white. Tongues are doubled up as usual while the interior’s exposed foam padding is painted in with a charcoal exterior. Midsoles and heel counters are concluded in an angelic finish, the latter of which is blocky and adds a unique dimension to the silhouette.
The “Iron Grey” colorway is scheduled to release on the 4th of August while the “British Tan” colorway is due to release on the 10th of the same month. The retail price is said to be around $120 USD.
