Paris Fashion Week took off as of yesterday, January 19th. With the schedule and showings altered due to COVID-19, brands such as Sankunaz, Rhude and many others presented their shows digitally.
With UNDERCOVER receiving no special attention, their Fall/Winter ‘21 collection was shot in front of the back side of a canvas. Well known for their signature tailoring, all-over print standouts and referral knits, the Japanese brand took out time to display their latest project with Nike: a duo of neutral-toned Dunk Highs.
With Jun Takahashi being no stranger to the Dunk High, the upcoming project is certainly one of his most reserved takes on the silhouette. The construction is left untouched and is furnished with the model’s typical paneling and tooling. Signature UC motifs are then planted with the back heel being the most prominent as the left foot reads “CHAOS” text while the right foot reads “GLEICHGEWICHT” which roughly translates to “BALANCE” in German. The contrast arrives in the midsole with either dark or light based on the colorway Triple White/Triple Black. The collar also receives the text addition spelling out “NEUES” and “NEUER”, a paring that means “NEW” and “NEW”.
