USPS and Nike Will Now Officially Release Priority Mail-Inspired Air Force 1 Experimental
Keeping up with the talk that it would “take whatever actions it deems necessary to protect its valuable IP rights,” the USPS has now declared its agreement with Nike over the “unauthorized” Priority Mail-inspired Air Force 1 Experimental.
In the below official statement, the United States Postal Service announced the release of the shoe with Nike officially.
“The U.S. Postal Service and NIKE, Inc. are pleased to announce they have come to a resolution on the upcoming release of Nike footwear inspired by the U.S. Postal Service. The Experimental Nike Air Force 1 footwear are officially licensed by the U.S. Postal Service. Any early images of this shoe were not authorized for release by Nike.”
No formal news regarding the resolution being surfaced, one can presume that the USPS will be compensated in some way from the proceeds of the release. Earlier in April, the postal service made public statement about the inspired shoes and was up to take legal action to terminate Nike’s plans to drop the shoes in the coming months.
There are no new recent release details for the now official Priority Mail-inspired USPS x Nike Air Force 1 Experimental.
