Stray Rats has come up once more in the world of footwear with their newest collaboration with New Balance. Making its way into the scene with a set of 990v3 projects a few years back, the Miami-born label provides two Made In UK 991 options inspired by vintage robots and mech warriors, tying into the tech performance introduced by the New Balance 991 model when it was first brought to market in 2001.
Each colorway is fashioned with a supple mix of suede and nubucks, where the first one is drenched in black, grey, and purple palette and a second with brown, maroon, and neon. Branding can be seen on the forefoot, embroidered in lower case with two back-slashes, custom insoles, and shoeboxes feature its famed mascot in 8-bit form.
The collaboration is reportedly releasing on December 17th via New Balance.com and select retailers for $250 USD each.
